NYC emcee Mazzi is the mastermind behind S.O.U.L. (Sense Of Understanding Life’s) Purpose, which he calls “the biggest crew in Hip Hop for the simple fact that if you helped the music to prosper in any way, you are part of the S.O.U.L. Purpose collective!” A staple of New York’s underground Hip Hop scene since the mid-‘90s, Mazzi’s ‘The Inspection’ album was hosted and partially produced by Statik Selektah, his City Permits album was hosted by Mick Boogie & Terry Urban, and his rapid-fire flow has graced collaborations with the likes of N.O.R.E., Jadakiss, Smoke DZA, El-P, Immortal Technique, and dead prez.

About Koothu ஒலி
French bassist, composer and beatmaker, Koothu studied music at the Conservatory for years. After graduating from his class in 2012 with the famous Music Academy International, Kevin decided to discover new music through several trips to Europe and Asia.

He lived in Berlin for 4 years, which allowed him to collaborate with internationally renowned artists in the Soul, Jazz and Hip Hop scene such as Amp Fiddler, Vernon D Hill (Slum Village) and Charles X (CA) through festivals in Europe and in the studio. Leader of the Neosoul “Polylogue From Sila” project with which he mainly tours the last 3 in France, he has performed concerts in prestigious clubs and jazz festivals such as the Baiser Salé or the Ermi Jazz Festival in Paris.

He is now part of the group “Ah! Kwantou ”as a bassist, led by the famous Kyekyeku, fervent representative of High Life in Ghana and also produces an album dedicated to Indian Music and hip-hop.
