4NC¥ Special Delivery: Moves is a smooth, minimal, synthwave funk-inspired hip hop track. Bright, wavy and extra icy with the deliveries, the P x P combo is long overdue. Nutty P’s deep, soulful inspiration on this 140bpm production provides a perfect crucible of vibes for both of their styles to shine.
Nutty P is a rapper, producer, musician and singer-songwriter hailing from west London. He has produced for the likes of Wretch 32, Ghetts, Ms Banks, Wiley, Krept n Konan, Stefflon Don, Busta Rhymes and CasIsDead - and performed and deejayed internationally. Over the past year, Nutty has come into his own as a solo artist, reaching out to new audiences and collaborators with his head-nodding, hood-esque soulful sounds. Lockdown has given him the opportunity to level up, dropping 10 solo tracks in 2020 alone, all accompanied with either lyric or music videos - the most recent of which, God Please, featured a video premiere on GRM Daily.
PAV4N is a founding member of Foreign Beggars. Name checked at the Grammys, playing every major festival there is and hitting the UK Top Ten charts, PAV4N has been responsible for introducing wave after wave of underground music onto the world. After the highly influential multi-genre group parted ways at the end of 2019, he blasted back into view with his prolific solo project, which he describes as “A living art piece - the reality of forging a unique path in music, art and the life of a perpetual foreigner”
I've loved Calyx' work since I first heard him in the Midnight Club 3 soundtrack almost 20 years ago now. He's an absolute legend. However, when I first heard his main collab project with Teebee, I didn't like the more mainstream sound. He seemingly stopped doing solo releases for a decade or so until now, and this is probably his best since the Moving Shadow days imo, even if it's not as hard or dark as it used to be. Great work, can't wait to get the vinyl someday if there will be. Brandon Handy
This album is incredible. Fracture took the influence of the early 2000s with the very specific sounds of this time. Drum n bass deeply interesting. jef37
